From December 10–14, 2026, we will gather in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai at the Royal Train Garden Resort to celebrate our identity, culture, and unity as one global Hmong family. Over 40,000–50,000 people from 10 countries—including Thailand, the USA, Canada, France, French Guiana, Australia, Laos, China, Vietnam, and Burma—are expected to attend. Together, we will make history.

The Hmong World New Year 2027 is an initiative led by hmong people in thailand that will bring together Hmong from 10 countries to celebrate the first and most significant World Hmong New Year. This will unite our Hmong members in various countries, united by cultural pride, brotherhood, and a shared vision for the future. This grand gathering will honor our rich heritage, showcase traditional arts and traditions, and foster international Hmong relations, fostering creativity and camaraderie, benefiting not only the Hmong in Thailand, but also through learning from their fellow citizens. Hmong people from many countries will continue to participate in this event in the future. Most importantly, it will foster understanding, unity, and networking that will benefit the Hmong people indefinitely.
The Hmong New Year is more than just a festive occasion; it’s a cornerstone of cultural preservation and a powerful symbol of Hmong unity. Celebrated annually, it marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of a new agricultural cycle, offering a time for reflection, renewal, and community bonding.
