EVENT OVERVIEW

This will not be just another New Year event. It will be a global cultural summit, world festival, leadership conference, and international family reunion all in one.

OUR VISION

A historic first—uniting Hmong families, communities, and organizations from every corner of the world.

Hello Hmong Brothers and Sisters Around the World, On behalf of the Hmong World New Year 2026-2027 Organizing Committee, it is with deep honor and excitement that we invite you, your families, communities, and organizations to be part of a truly historic event—the first-ever Hmong World New Year Celebration in Thailand.

OUR MISSION

From December 10–14, 2026

We will gather in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai at the Royal Train Garden Resort to celebrate our identity, culture, and unity as one global Hmong family. Over 40,000–50,000 people from 10 countries—including Thailand, the USA, Canada, France, French Guiana, Australia, Laos, China, Vietnam, and Burma—are expected to attend. Together, we will make history.

HMONG AROUND THE WORLD

The Hmong originally lived in China. When war broke out, they migrated south to live in Vietnam, Burma, Laos, and as far away as Thailand. Before the war broke out in Laos, they migrated again to escape the war and live in Thailand before traveling to America, Canada, Australia, and other places. From the past to the present, it has been 50 years. At this event, they have come together again in Thailand to celebrate the New Year together for the first time in 50 years.
